NGC 7048 is a planetary nebula located in the constellation Cygnus, at an estimated distance of approximately 5,300 light-years from Earth and with an apparent diameter of about 1 arcminute.

It is a planetary nebula in an advanced stage of evolution, featuring a slightly asymmetrical structure and a faint outer halo visible only in H-alpha. But there is Ha emission also in all the field of the image.

The image is a crop of the original file in order to have a better view of this small nebula.
